Flood warnings issued across the West Midlands as snow begins to thaw

The melting snow has prompted a series of flood alerts across the West Midlands.
Drivers heading out on the roads need to be vigilant as conditions continue to wreak havoc.
Traffic and travel chaos is expected, just days after Birmingham was hit by more than six inches of snow.
The flurries of the white stuff ended on Monday, with some being seen late Wednesday.
But the rainfall has turned the snow to slush now, with forecasters expecting ice to cause problems today.
A series of flood alerts have been issued, covering the region's rivers and brooks.
