Flood defences set to be tightened in North Lincolnshire this winter



Work will be stepped by the Environment Agency up this winter on tightening up defences along the Humber in North Lincolnshire to avoid a repeat the floods which devastated the South Ferriby area three years ago.
The government has given a commitment to investing £86 million by 2021 on reducing flood risk on more than 50,000 homes, as well as businesses and infrastructure.
