Flood alerts issued for Cumbria



In total five separate alerts have been put in place for the county.
Three for the coast between Gretna and Silloth, St Bees Head to Millom and the North Morecambe Bay.
Two further alerts are for the upper river Derwent, Stonethwaite Beck and Derwent Water near Keswick and the upper river which crosses over the Cumbrian border near to places like Appleby, Brough and Warcop.
People are warned to stay away from the coast The agency says heavy rainfall overnight has contributed to the warnings being put in place.
