Fireworks night axed over health and safety fears after 29 years



A popular firework night has been cancelled for the first time in 29 years following health and safety concerns.
Ingham Village Hall bonfire night, traditionally held at the parish council playing field on November 5, has been called off due to a change in insurance conditions for organisers.
The event cannot go ahead due to the bonfire being within 100 metres of property and this is deemed too close to houses and boundaries, as well as being near to a school.
