Firefighters tackle major Huddersfield mill blaze

About 100 firefighters are fighting a blaze at a four-storey former textile mill in Huddersfield.
The fire was reported about 04:50 GMT, according to West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue service.
Ruth Street, in Newsome, Huddersfield, is closed along with several other roads in the area.
John Holmes, who lives nearby, said he was woken by the noise of the roof bursting into flames and the floors of the mill collapsing.
Ian Bitcon, from the fire service, said it was "a very substantial and established fire" and the service would be present for the remainder of the day.
