Firefighters rescue people from boat marooned on the River Trent
 

Firefighters have rescued two people from a boat stranded on the River Trent.
Appliances from Newark and Carlton were called to Hazelford Weir, near to the village of Bleasby, at 12.08pm on Saturday (January 20).
A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service told the Post the boat had become "marooned on a pontoon".
Firefighters led the two people to safety and the incident was reported as over at 1.11pm.
