Firefighters rescue horse from SWIMMING POOL



Firefighters dramatically rescued a horse after it slipped into a freezing swimming pool.
The chestnut was stranded in icy waters when it fell into the outdoor pool at a property in Walsall Wood at around 8.50am on Thursday morning.
A team of 10 firefighters used pumping equipment to drain water from the pool while a crew from the Technical Rescue Unit used specialist equipment to winch the horse to safety.
A local farmer with a forklift truck also offered his services.
