Fire map shows mammoth scale of infernos gripping California



Firefighters in the US state of California are battling more than 30 separate blazes right now.
This fire map, provided by Google, shows the scale of devastation currently gripping wine country and beyond.
It highlights the Tubbs inferno north of Santa Rosa which currently remains 27,000 acres. Many of the wildfires are situated around that area after flames spread on Sunday.
At least 17 people have been killed and more than 2,000 homes have been destroyed. Countless people have been reported missing, as well.
David Leal, 55, and his wife and stepson are one of the lucky ones.
