Fire crews battle blaze at derelict building in Fairfield
 

Fire crews tackled a blaze at a derelict building in Kensington .
Merseyside Fire and Rescue were called just before 6.25pm this evening to the large building on Prescot Road, at the junction with Lockerby Road.
Prescot Road was closed shortly before 7pm to allow fire crews to deal with the incident, which involved a blaze on the third floor of the building.
There were four fire engines on the scene and crews wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet and platform ladder to extinguish the fire.
No one is believed to be injured in the fire.
