This time everyone is taking it all very seriously: a madman wants to “cure” global overpopulation by releasing a deadly plague and it really is no laughing matter.
Tom Hanks’s Professor Robert Langdon is being tormented by hellish visions and never cracks a smile; his brain-box sidekick, Dr Sienna Brooks (Felicity Jones), a former child prodigy, is like the class swot keeping teacher on his toes and the bad guy, Bertrand Zobrist (Ben Foster) is no fun at all, proclaiming things like “humanity is the disease and Inferno is the cure.”
