FIFA vice-president: Awarding Russia and Qatar World Cups has helped expose corruption
 

That is the view of FIFA vice-president Victor Montagliani, who suggested the controversial decision has helped expose corruption in the sport.
Russia was given the 2018 finals and Qatar the 2022 event after a vote six years ago riddled with allegations of sleaze.
Since then Sepp Blatter has been forced out as FIFA has limped through scandal after scandal. But Montagliani claims it has all been for the good of the organisation.
