The job interview was in some once-industrial, once-wasteland towards the end of a London Overground line that Beth had only ever seen on the Transport for London journey planner. She opened up Google Maps and watched herself, a flashing blue dot, make her way towards her destination. There was a bus, but she liked to get in her 10,000 steps a day. 
Her phone rang and a picture of Alastair and her, arms wrapped around each other, appeared on her screen. When they became engaged he changed it, so that she would remember how happy they were every time he called.
