Fears girls were being crushed at DJ Carl Cox dance night forces staff to stop the music
 

Organisers of a nightclub dance event headlined by DJ Carl Cox were forced to stop the music over fears girls were being crushed by the crowd.
Several revellers told the ECHO how they feared for their safety at the Circus party on Saturday night at the Camp and Furnace.
A representative for the event said when staff opened a gate to ease overcrowding a further 150 people charged into the room.
Staff were forced to cut the music and make a statement to control the crowd and prevented any further people accessing the DJ’s set.
