Fearless Frankie Sherwood takes to the ice as Whitley Warriors help out the brave tot



The family of poorly Frankie Sherwood have said they are delighted that the North East has come together to support them after £2,500 was raised at a Whitley Bay ice hockey match.
Ice hockey players and fans clubbed together to help the brave toddler who is battling an aggressive form of cancer.
The three-year-old has been fighting to survive ever since he was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in May last year.
His family, of Dudley, North Tyneside , are desperately trying to raise around £550,000 to pay for his treatment in America.
