Fathers' names missed off more than 400 birth certificates



More than 400 babies in Lincolnshire were registered without their father's name on their birth certificate last year.
Figures from the Office for National Statistics have revealed the number of sole parent birth registrations to have taken place in each part of the country last year.
According to the numbers there were 444 cases in Lincolnshire where the father of the child's details were not recorded on the birth certificate in 2015, up from 425 in 2014.
This represents an increase of 4.5%, contrary to the national trend of a 3.1% drop across the UK as a whole.
