Family of teenage hit-and-run victim Kiernan Roberts, 16, thank well-wishers



The family of a 16-year-old boy who is fighting for his life after being knocked off his bike in a suspected hit-and-run has thanked those who came to his aid.
Kiernan Roberts, 16, a sixth-form pupil at South Hunsley School, had been cycling at about 11.15pm on Friday in Brantingham Road, Elloughton, when it is believed he was struck from behind by a car.
He was found by a member of the public lying critically injured in the road. Police later traced a car in connection with the incident and arrested a man.
