FA chief explains decision to part ways with 'inappropriate' ex-England boss Allardyce
 

Martin Glenn declared that Allardyce’s behaviour has been “inappropriate” – and the former boss accepted he had “made some comments which caused embarrassment”.
In an interview with FATV, Mr Glenn said the manager’s actions are “not what is expected of an England manager” and they’ve had a “very difficult 24 hours” to come to the “painful” decision.
The 61-year-old was questioned by FA bosses, Mr Glenn and chairman Greg Clarke after he was alleged to have used his position to negotiate a £400,000 deal with a bogus businessman, who was part of a Daily Telegraph investigation.
