GUT THE GUTTERS: Fallen leaves can make drainpipes more prone to blockages, meaning your pipes could overflow, resulting in problems and damp inside the house. Taking the small step of ridding them of any unwanted greenery will prove worthwhile.
SORT THE GARDEN: Trim, protect and maintain your garden plants throughout the colder months by clearing out any weeds, and sow a 'cover crop' over your soil to make sure the layer underneath stays healthy.
