Exhibition celebrates Nottingham’s heyday as the heart of the UK’s breakdance scene



Back in 1983 Rock City hosted Saturday afternoon jams that drew B Boy crews from across the country to test out new moves and do 'battle' with their rivals.
Among these crews were future drum 'n' bass pioneer Goldie and Take That heart-throb Jason Orange.
Yes, really.
Thirty-thee-years on, an exhibition celebrating the city's legacy as the centre for all things breakdance and hip hop will open on Friday, October 28 at The Gallery, in Heathcote Street, Hockley.
