Ex-soldier fined for pulling over to give cold homeless man clothes on Christmas Day
 

A former soldier who pulled over to donate warm clothes to a freezing homeless man has been fined.
Lee William, who works with a charity that helps rough sleepers, was fined £70 for stopping in a bus lane to give the man a hat, scarf, gloves, a blanket and a bag containing some festive treats on Christmas Day.
He had the supplies in his car as he works with ‘Once, We Were Soldiers’ which carries out patrols to speak to homeless veterans and also support other homeless people.
