An ex-nurse must pay £150 compensation to a hospital professor after he attacked him and barricaded himself in his office in the Queen's Medical Centre.
Homeless Simon Wood punched his victim's face and threw a chair before barricaded himself in the office, Nottingham magistrates heard.
The professor escaped after shouting for help and being heard by a colleague. Hospital security staff and police managed to force their way in and arrested Wood, 51.
