Ex-business secretary Sir Vince Cable joins board of Nottingham-based firm
 

Former business secretary Sir Vince Cable has joined the board of White Capstan, a subsidiary of Nottingham-based industrial group Purico.
Ex-Liberal Democrat MP Sir Vince, who lost his seat in the 2015 General Election, said he wants to help the company, which has a head office in Nottingham but main operations in Germany, grow and eventually open a UK operation - possibly in the city.
White Capstan is a specialist manufacturer of quality parts for the automotive industry and had sales of 195 million euros (£176.4m) last year.
