Ex-British Steel worker died of industrial disease



A 58-YEAR-OLD British Steel Worker died as a result of exposure to industrial disease, an inquest heard.
A statement read out on behalf of the deceased, Paul Raymond Stevens, explained Mr Stevens thought he was exposed to asbestos while working for British Steel between 1976 and 1977 and 1981 and 1982.
He explained that work was carried out in his vicinity removing and replacing pipes and that he was not given a mask to wear and no warnings were given about the dangers of asbestos.
