Evington Road in Leicester to close for several days as pipes are laid



Part of Leicester's busy Evington Road will close to traffic over the school half-term holidays while a power company installs new underground cables.
Western Power Distribution is carrying out work to relocate an electricity substation and 500 metres of underground electrical cables.
This will mean a partial closure of Evington Road. From Saturday, October 15, Evington Road, it will be closed for four days to eastbound traffic from London Road or Granville Road.
A diversion will take traffic via Mayfield Road and Beckingham Road.
