Evil killer of music teacher loses appeal against jail sentence

A killer who went on the run after stabbing a former music teacher to death has lost an appeal against his 16-year sentence.
Dylan Jackson, 21, repeatedly knifed 46-year-old Herman Simpson in the living room of his Wolverhampton home before leaving him to die.
He then went on the run, but was eventually caught 16 days later in Bath, following a police manhunt.
Jackson, of Crosby Close, denied murder but was found guilty by a jury at Nottingham Crown Court.
The 21-year-old was jailed for life and ordered to serve at least 16 years behind bars in December last year.
