'Every day is like my first day' for 999 man Kuldip



When a young engineer was made redundant he took a part-time job with the then Leicestershire Ambulance Service while he looked for something more permanent.
But, 35 years on Kuldip Singh Bhamrah has just received a long service award from East Midlands Ambulance Service (Emas).
The 63-year-old from Braunstone Town said: "I loved it so much I applied for a full time job. I did my accident and emergency training and the rest is history.
"If you care about people and saving lives it is not a bad way to earn a living.
