Everton hostel evacuated while fire crews tackle blaze in downstairs room



An Everton hostel was evacuated after a fire reportedly broke out in one of the bedrooms.
Merseyside Fire and Rescue were called just before 6.30pm to Everton Road this evening and three fire engines were sent to fight the blaze.

People staying in the hostel were evacuated while crews dampened down the area and were waiting outside for just over an hour.
