EU gives Syrian refugees '£5K A YEAR' to not come to Europe in free debit card scheme
 

The unusual solution sees certain families in refugee camps recieve more than £5,000 a year. 
UN agencies have now expanded the 'free cash' scheme with more a million credit cards to be handed out in one refugee camp alone.
The EU has helped the UNHCR set up the direct cash hand-out programmes in Turkey, Lebanon and Jordan.
In part, the EU hopes the "free cash" scheme will stop migrants making the journey to Europe.
