ERUPTION ALERT: Japan's largest active volcano blows for first time in 36 years
 

Mount Aso, located in the southern island of Kyushu, erupted early on Saturday bursting ash 11,000 metres into the sky.
Authorities said no injuries have been reported from the eruption, which started at 1.46am local time.
Images broadcasted on Japanese TV show cars and roads covered in ashes, as ash has reportedly fallen as far as 320km from the crater.
Japan's Meteorological Agency has said it was the first "explosive eruption" since January 1980.
Mount Aso, the largest active volcano in the island, erupted last year when it blasted a plume of black smoke 2,000 metres high.
