England striker Jamie Vardy lucky to escape red after reckless tackle on Chelsea defender
 

The Leicester striker, in for Daniel Sturridge as Gareth Southgate made three changes to his side, went in hard on Chelsea’s Cesar Azpilicueta.
Vardy played the ball first but followed through high up the defender’s leg and should have been sent off.
Vardy then won the penalty for England’s opener after being brought down by Pepe Reina.
