England batsman James Vince out to prove Ashes doubters wrong after falling short of century in first Test



England's James Vince was frustrated to fall short of an Ashes century during the first Test in Brisbane, but insisted he wants to prove his critics wrong.
Vince's selection was met by critique ahead of Thursday's opening Test at the Gabba, with many claiming he wasn't ready for Test cricket.
The number-three batsman came to the crease after Alastair Cook departed for just two runs but he settled in well alongside Mark Stoneman as the tourists put on three figures for the second wicket against Australia.
