England 2-0 Malta: Daniel Sturridge and Dele Alli strike to fire Gareth Southgate to victory in his first game in charge over plucky minnows
 

England ran out comfortable winners against Malta on Saturday as they made it two wins from two in World Cup qualifying Group F in Gareth Southgate's first game in charge.
Daniel Sturridge was on hand to head home from Jordan Henderson's cross to give England the lead on the stroke of the half-hour mark.
Tottenham star Dele Alli made sure of the points when he poked home from close range to double the home side's advantage before the break.
