'Emojis should be regulated': Chinese state media call for 'correct' use of social media stickers 



Chinese state-media has called for regulation on emojis in a crackdown on the country's internet. 
State-run newspaper the People's Daily called for regulation of emojis due to their sometimes erotic and violent nature in an article published on October 15. 
According to Sixth Tone, stickers and emojis on popular Chinese app WeChat are downloaded 20 million times a day.
