Emergency services called to town centre incident

A MAN suffering a facial injury has been taken to West Cumberland Hospital.
Emergency services were called to an incident in the area of Birley Court, in Whitehaven town centre, at around 4pm today.
Police say they initially received reports of a fight and criminal damage to a door.
A police spokesperson said: "A man was taken to West Cumberland Hospital with a facial injury. It is not known at this time how it was caused."
