Elusive rebound in exports hampers French recovery
 

France's northern port of Rouen usually bustles in October with wheat-laden ships destined for distant markets but the worst harvest in three decades means there is no chance this year of a trade boost from one of its most reliable exports.
Indeed, foreign trade is shaping up to be one of the weak spots of the recovering economy.
"Over the last year things have taken a turn for the worse and we're losing (export) market share," said Vladimir Passeron, head of economic forecasting at statistics office INSEE.
