Elderly residents 'shaken up' after suspicious device found outside their homes



Elderly residents were left “shaken up” after being evacuated from their homes when a suspicious device was discovered outside.
Police advised people living in a block of flats in West Kirby to leave the building before a controlled explosion was carried out yesterday afternoon.
A carer for elderly residents in the block in Leigh Road was visiting them this morning. She told the ECHO:”They were very shaken up to be told they had to get out of the building. But they are all okay.”
