Eighteen arrested as £3million worth of drugs seized from Scottish streets



More than £3million of drugs have been seized by police in a matter of days as officers work to rid Scotland’s streets of deadly substances this Christmas.
Specialist officers targeted five organised crime groups over just nine days in a series of carefully-organised swoops in the central belt - seizing record amounts of crack and standard cocaine, heroin, cannabis and illegal tablets and resulting in the arrests of 18 people.
