Gary O’Neil admits he is not the most flamboyant of midfielders, but in a career spanning 480 first-team games, the 33-year-old has won promotion to the Premier League with Portsmouth, West Ham, QPR and Norwich.
He also spent four seasons at Middlesbrough and is now passing on his wisdom and experience to Lee Johnson’s young Bristol City side.
