Edinburgh boxer John McCallum hopes to use time spent at New York's famous Gleason's Gym to inspire homecoming victory
 

JOHN McCALLUM has been sparring in the shadow of legends as he bids to make a happy homecoming.
The Edinburgh fighter is set to return to home soil at Meadowbank Stadium on Friday on the undercard of Josh Taylor’s Commonwealth crack at Dave Ryan.
McCallum, 28, hasn’t fought in Edinburgh for four years as he’s been building his career under promoter Steve Goodwin down south.
But he geared up for his return by jetting out to New York to finish off his preparations in the world famous Gleason’s Gym in Brooklyn.
