Edge of Coventry green belt development to be inspired by Welwyn Garden City



Developers who want to build more than 400 houses on farm land on the edge of Coventry say they are inspired by the garden city concept first thought up more than 100 years ago.
The plans are for 425 homes on fields off Westwood Heath Road, in Westwood Heath, to meet an expected increase in demand for housing in the area over the next 12 years.
Developers Crest Nicholson have set out plans for a garden village style development with greens, allotments, areas for wildlife to flourish, play areas and even community orchards.
