Edgaras Jankauskas admitted his Lithuanian battlers were worn down by Scotland’s superior staying power after a historic victory was snatched away from them one minute from time.
The former Hearts and Porto striker explained that time-wasting complaints from Scotland were misplaced because his players were floored late in the game by the demands of defending their 1-0 lead.
Jankauskas explained: ‘With time, the physical strength took over. The Scottish team has players abroad and English leagues. The physical demands, they are used to that.
