East Kilbride Thistle boss praying cup game beats the weather as players are sick of being dragged round the shops
 

Alan Paterson hopes East Kilbride Thistle’s Junior Cup clash with Thorniewood finally beats the weather – because his players can’t handle spending their weekends at the shops any more.
For the third week running, the Jags boss was left frustrated as Thorniewood’s Robertson Park fell victim to the elements with a frozen pitch forcing Saturday’s third round tie to be postponed.
The Central District First Division sides will try again this weekend and it could be their final attempt of the year, with the Junior game set to finish up for the festive period after Saturday’s fixtures.
