EK Thistle boss Alan Paterson admitted he couldn’t help but get involved in the celebrations after his shock troops sent Culter crashing out of the Junior Cup.
The Jags came from a goal down to sink a side who finished third in the North Superleague last season, with Dougie Ryan’s double and Scott Hadden’s stunning strike eight minutes from time doing the damage.
Paterson’s side had been taking pelters from the home fans all game, so when Hadden fired home an outrageous winner from distance in the 82nd minute the gaffer exploded with joy.
