E.ON text is genuine



Coventry energy giant E.ON says this mobile text message is NOT a scam.
The message says the recipient still owes money for energy used and asks them to click on a web link, or call an 0800 number.
A spokesperson for E.ON said: “
We can confirm that this is a legitimate activity undertaken by E.ON.
“However as always we encourage customers to be vigilant and report any suspicious behavior to us as security is of high importance.”
Several people have reported the number on the website whocalledme.co.uk for people who are not sure if calls or texts are genuine.
