Dust clouds whipping up a storm for fed up Newcastle city centre shops
 

Dust and debris caused by the demolition of a city centre building is whipping up a storm with Newcastle businesses.
This week passersby have been shielding their eyes while walking by the teardown of the 1960s Newgate Centre.
But unfortunately, local shops can’t as quickly escape the dust. And prevailing winds are only adding to the problem.
Natalie Matthews, manager of Caffe Nero on Clayton Street, is on the corner of the demolition and said the dust is drastically affecting the shop.
