Duchess of Rutland would rather shop at Aldi and Lidl than sell off Belvoir Castle's priceless art



The Duchess of Rutland has revealed she is happy to shop at discount supermarkets rather than part with Belvoir Castle's priceless paintings.
Emma Manners – former wife of David, Duke of Rutland – described herself as a "working mum" during an appearance on Channel 5 TV's How The Other Half Live.
The 54-year-old mother-of-five opened up about the struggle to keep the 1,000-year-old castle going.
Speaking to presenters Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford during a tour of the ancestral home in the Vale of Belvoir, she said it costs £500,000 a year just to maintain.
