Driver overturns bus lane fine – now could 3,000 other Derby drivers do the same?
 

Campaigners have called on the city council to refund more than 3,000 people after a motorist successfully appealed against a fine for driving in a Derby bus lane.
Nigel Aspdin initially lost an appeal with Derby City Council against the £60 ticket issued for the Normanton Road bus lane.
But the 65-year-old took his case to the Traffic Penalty Tribunal which ruled a sign warning of the bus lane was in the wrong place and appropriate direction arrows were not painted on the road.
