Driver dies in early morning crash on the A69 near Hexham

A driver has died in a crash on the A69 after the car they were driving flipped on the road near Hexham .
Police are now appealing to trace a second vehicle that may have been involved.
Ambulance crews discovered the overturned car at approximately 1am this morning, on the road between Hexham and Corbridge, but were unable to save the driver’s life.
The crash happened one mile east of the Bridge End Roundabout at Hexham and police say another vehicle, which failed to stop at the scene, may have been involved.
