Driver dies after two-car smash on Midlothian road

A MOTORIST has died following a two-car crash in Midlothian.
The accident happened on the A6094 between Leadburn and Howgate at about 1pm on Sunday.
Police said they were alerted by a member of the public.
The emergency services, including fire crews from West Linton, Dalkeith and Penicuik, were sent to the scene.
Police confirmed one motorist had died and appealed for information on the crash.
A section of road between the Leadburn junction and Howgate was closed for a crash investigation and has since reopened.
