Driver dies after Ellesmere Port fuel tanker crash



A man has died after two fuel tankers collided in Ellesmere Port yesterday.
A 40-year-old driver was airlifted to hospital after the crash in Oil Sites Road, near Stanlow, yesterday afternoon after suffering a suspected heart attack.
Today, police confirmed that the man from Leigh, Greater Manchester, had passed away.
An investigation is underway over the cause of the collision, which caused a massive fuel spillage .
Around 7,000 litres of petrol poured into Oil Sites Road and police closed the road in both directions.
